Partnerships in the sustainability field

A global commitment

We actively join international initiatives aimed at implementing sustainability principles.

The Climate Neutrality Strategy developed by the UN in 2007 highlighted the advantages of acting in coordination to achieve greater impact, reduce transaction costs, develop common tools, ensure comparability, and facilitate common decision-making.

Repsol is an active member of the United Nations Global Compact and the IPIECA Executive Committee. It works in this framework to unify how sustainability is integrated into companies’ activities. In this way, we anticipate governments when it comes to adapting our strategy to national regulations.

Members since 2002 of the World Compact's 10 Principles of Sustainable Development and also actively collaborate with REPM.

The leading advocate for the European business sector. Repsol actively participates in its sustainability initiatives.

A private entity whose aim is to contribute to better understanding the energy industry for the various social partners.

Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development

Business at OECD (BIAC)

Business organization for the OECD countries. We take part in its tax policy, investment, energy, and environment committees.

CEO-led initiative that aims to accelerate the Oil & Gas industry's response to climate change.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

In 2018, we joined this initiative that reports on the financial impact of climate change risks and opportunities.

We endorse the "Zero Routine Flaring by 2030" initiative.
