Promoting excellence in research
In November 2021, the Repsol Technology Lab was recognized with the European “HR Excellence in Research” award.
This award, from the European Commission through the mechanism, "The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)," represents a recognition of Repsol's commitment to the development and continuous improvement of a human resources strategy for researchers in line with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
This recognizes that Repsol guarantees open and transparent hiring processes of researchers based on meritocracy and capabilities, and it also seeks to develop a favorable work environment for researchers to carry out their activity in the best conditions, which will result in more added value and to generate talent attraction for the Repsol Technology Lab.

Sustainability is a key element in our vision and constitutes a shared commitment undertaken by all of us who are part of Repsol. Our inclusion and evaluation in sustainability indexes and ratings reflect the quality of our Company's management and governance.
CDP
It recognizes the companies with the best energy and carbon management. Since 2006, Repsol has been listed as one of the best companies in its sector. In 2022, Repsol has remained in the leadership scoring band in the fight against climate change, with a score of A-, exceeding the average score for the Oil & Gas sector (B). This rating implies an absolute integration of the risks and opportunities related to climate change in the Company's management, as well as the formulation and implementation of strategies to mitigate or capitalize on these risks and opportunities.
Corporate Human Rights Benchmark
The CHRB is a multistakeholder initiative that assesses the human rights performance of 200 companies across five sectors. In 2020, CHRB adapted its methodology due to the worldwide pandemic; Repsol scored 20.5 out of 26, ranking 4th in the extractive sector.
Standard & Poor's ESG Ratings
Repsol participated in the ESG rating by Standard & Poor's in 2020 for the second year in a row. With a score of 68/100, S&P ranked Repsol among the companies in its sector, highlighting its strategy for growth in the energy transition. It also positively rates Repsol's correct management of social and environmental risks, making special mention of its Sustainability Strategy for being one of the most advanced in the O&G sector.
MSCI
In February 2022, Repsol received a rating of A (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment.

ISS ESG Corporate Rating
ISS ESG awards us the “Prime” rating in our sector in recognition of our sustainability performance. ISS ESG analyzes sustainability performance from a best-in-class perspective, awarding the “Prime” rating to companies that are sector leaders and meet the relevant requirements.
FTSE4Good Index
We have been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series since 2011. These indices measure the performance of companies that demonstrate solid environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and are used by a wide variety of players in the market to create and evaluate responsible investment funds, in addition to other products.
Euronext Vigeo Eiris Europe 120 and Euronext Vigeo Eiris Eurozone 120
We are one of the 120 European and Eurozone companies with one of the best levels of performance in corporate responsibility. These indexes recognize the companies that have the best performance in Environment, Social, and Government. The companies included in this index have achieved the highest scores, according to the revision of up to 330 indicators.
Ethibel Sustainability Indices
Our inclusion in the European and global Ethibel sustainability indices is evidence of the Company's perseverance, dedication, and commitment to continually improving our sustainability performance. In addition, our inclusion in both the Pioneer and Excellence categories positions us as a sector leader in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
LEED Platinum Seal
Our headquarters, the Repsol Campus, is a 100% sustainable and accesible workplace, proof of which can be found in the most important international sustainability award which we've received from the US Green Building Council. Among its noteworthy aspects are its energy efficiency, use of alternative energy sources, and efficient water consumption.
OFISO Awards
We won the OFISO 2022 Awards as a private company, for our track record in leadership in sustainable financing, financing green, social, and sustainable projects and activities. With this award, OFISO recognizes the commitment and efforts made over the years towards financing green and sustainable projects. This award helps us to continue being focused on our Net Zero Emissions by 2050 agenda, our roadmap for the coming years, which includes the goals previously set in Repsol’s 2021–2025 Strategic Plan.
AENOR certification of Circular Economy Strategy
We have received the AENOR certification for Circular Economy Strategy. All projects in which we contribute to the principles of Circular Economy were taken into account when selecting us for the award. This certification corroborates our firm commitment to sustainability, and reaffirms the importance of the Circular Economy and to continue producing all that society needs, with lower carbon footprints. During the certification process, AENOR was able to verify our commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.

Innovation Award for Solmatch
The DEC Awards by the Association for Customer Experience Development recognized us for Solmatch, our project involving a new distributed electricity generation model.
Best Polymer Producers Awards for Europe
These awards are granted based on how customers rate their polymer supplier's performance in the following categories: Polymer Quality, Circularity, Delivery Reliability, and Communication and Innovation.
AECA Award for Corporate Transparency
In 2022, Repsol has been awarded in the XXI AECA Awards for Corporate Transparency in the category of Ibex 35 companies. Recognizing the quality, accessibility, usability, content, and presence of the information published through its corporate websites in the general, financial, corporate governance, environmental, and social areas.
Forbes’ 50 most valued CEOs in Spain
According to Forbes, in 2021, Josu Jon Imaz made the Top 50 best CEOs in Spain. This ranking is based on the management performance throughout the year.
